Good read. I wasn't sure whether to give this 0 stars or 5 stars, so I compromised with 3 stars. I bought it for a research project, and got exactly what I expected. To me, it's silly and obviously wasn't written by Admiral Byrd. It would appeal only to hard-core hollow earth believers, but if that's your thing, go for it. The biggest fault or many I could find with it is that the contents keep shifting from the North Pole to the South, and back again.

It can't seem to make up its mind which pole Byrd was at when the alleged adventure took place in the real world, he was in Antarctica at the time in question.

Strange idea. Thank you Admiral Byrd! I know you are watching us right now. This book was an eye opener to hollow earth. I had just became a flat earth believer. I must write this diary in secrecy and obscurity. It con cerns my Arctic flight of the nineteenth day of February in the year of Nineteen and Forty Seven. There comes a time when the rationality of men must fade into insignificance and one must accept the inevitability of the Truth!

The Inner Earth My Secret Diary by Admiral Richard B. Byrd (Feb. Mar. 1947 )

October 25, — March 11, was an American naval officer and explorer. Aircraft flights in which he served as a navigator and expedition leader crossed the Atlantic Ocean, a segment of the Arctic Ocean, and a segment of the Antarctic Plateau. Byrd claimed that his expeditions had been the first to reach both the North Pole and the South Pole by air. His claim to have reached the North Pole is disputed. He was a descendant of one of the First Families of Virginia.
